But if we want it to remain freely accessible, professionally rigorous, and genuinely independent in the long term, we also need a sustainable financial foundation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What do we use your support for?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Th\u00e9ma21 is now more than simply a website. As a journal, we have an <strong>ISSN<\/strong>, we assign <strong>DOIs to our academic publications<\/strong>, and we aim to maintain a high editorial and technical standard in both Hungarian and English.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Your support helps us cover, among other things:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>the technical infrastructure and hosting of the journal,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the costs of DOI registration,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>translation and language editing,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>editorial and publication-related work,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>conferences, discussions, and community events.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is equally important to us that Th\u00e9ma21\u2019s articles <strong>remain freely available to everyone<\/strong>, and that our events remain as accessible as possible. We do not want financial circumstances to determine who can access an important theological text or take part in a meaningful conversation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Independence also has a cost<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Th\u00e9ma21 seeks to operate independently of institutional and church-political interests. For us, this is not merely an editorial principle.
